Most of us have seen the movie Titanic, the second grossing film of all time. It gave us a glimpse of what it might have been like to be on that voyage, but it was a romance and there was a lot that the movie didn’t cover. It’s tragic and fascinating even a hundred years later.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Jack Dawson, claimed to have gone ice fishing on Lake Wissota near Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. That would have been impossible since the Lake Wissota (a man-made reservoir) didn’t even exist until 1917 and the Titanic sunk in 1912.
