#1 Porn or Bible Equals Death
That is right, reading the Bible or watching pornography, if caught, can result in the death penalty.

#2 Year 103
North Korea restarted their calendar after the birth of Kim-Il Sung, the grandfather of current leader Kim Jong-Un. These guys think they are pretty darn important.

#3 Only Military and Government Officials May Own Cars
North Korea does not allow its citizens to leave, it is simply not permitted. A car would make it far, far too easy for the average citizen to escape to China or South Korea. So, you don't own one.

#4 Juche, Not Communist
Communism has such a negative stigma these days, so North Korea went along and made up a new word for it. Juche, as they call it, is the system where Kim Jong-Un gets all and the people get none, basically.

#5 Leave Your Crazy Jeans at Home
Wearing jeans is illegal in North Korea. Anything that is often associated with American culture or is considered too casual is usually outlawed in this Asian hell hole.

#6 Class Warfare Foreal
North Korea has a rigid class system, with 51 tiers in total. The best citizens are often referred to as tomatoes, representing the undying loyalty to Communism and its red-stained logo.

#7 The Government Dictates Style
In North Korea, you have a choice of 28 different government approved haircuts. What a selection!

#8 Free Flow?
In the last 60 years, it is estimated that nearly 23,000 North Koreans have made their way south across the border. An estimated 2 have gone from South to North Korea. Not exactly an equal population flow.

#9 They are a Bit Behind
Can you imagine watching the 2014 World Cup 24 hours after everybody else? Well, if you are a North Korean lucky enough to afford a TV, that was reality.

#10 The Ganja is Alright
Apparently, out of all of the things that are outlawed in the Democratic People's Republic (ironic) of North Korea, weed is not one of them. It is not even considered a drug, apparently.

#11 They Got USA
North Korea has usa in the palm of their military hand. If you consider capturing just one usa ship since 1968 as military dominance, that is.

#12 Not a Family Man
We are not sure where they find these facts, but apparently Kim Jong-Un murdered his uncle by throwing him in a cage of 120 starving dogs, naked. As if that was not cruel enough, he then killed his uncle's entire family. Wow.

#13 NADA
North Korea seems to have a serious envy/jealousy complex going on with the United States. Their aerospace program, while admittedly in its infant stages, is called NADA. Sound familiar? (NASA of US)

#14 Kijong-Dong, Ghost Town
North Korean leaders think they are clever. If they build a city nice enough and close enough to the South Korean border, surely those South Koreans will not be able to resist the urge to move to North Korea, right? Wrong, and it remains a ghost town.

#15 Largest Stadium in the World
North Korea finds ways to create money, but almost all of it goes to useless buildings or displays of power that are supposed to glorify the greatness of this backwards nation. This includes the largest stadium in the world, the 1st of May Arena in Pyongyang.

#16 In NK, Unicorns are Real
Kim Jong-Un, his father before him, and his grandfather are all considered living Gods in their country. So it is not shocking at all when their own so called archeologists discover the lair of a 2,000 year old unicorn rode by the Kim's ancestors. They are gods, duh!

#17 Taking Pictures of the Poor is Illegal
North Korea has an overwhelming number of impoverished citizens, as its isolationist policies means little trade and massive food shortages. But taking pictures of the poor would be a bad look for North Korea, so of course it is illegal.

You guys should see the movie THE INTERVIEW to get the funny picture of what this country really is all about

100% of the so called 'facts' we keep hearing about North Korea is what their enemies (US) tells us about them. I would be damned if I take these 'facts' too seriously.

okay, why is it that the Country havent defended the fact that, no single food comes into the country and majority of the citizens are in poverty when their sister country is economically stable
why will south korea and other Asian nations dont want anything to do with them except for china and Russia
why will their citizens flee to South Korea every with South Korea confirming this
im not saying usa dont sugarcoat things, North Korea is simply a nightmare
only thing u see them import is chemicals, iron, steel from Australia
