Don't know jack about the others. You mentioned Lil kesh for what now, what would he sing.

@ op Tidal became a global company because legendary, universally famed musicians such as Usher, Beyonce, Madonna, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, etc endorsed it, not because Jigga sent an unknown younger brother in Nigeria to scoop for artists.

BTW, no Nigerian artist can ever be ''really'' known internationally, cos there is no such appeal.

Remember how Mungo Park discovered River Niger and Columbus, America.

You might have already discovered these dudes, but the rest of the world hasn't.

Football scouts travel to discover talents who are already well know within their obscure leagues. That kain thing.

Does anyone know when an American will write a similar letter to Don Jazzy

Or maybe Asians have written similar letter to their American 'brothers' angry

Black Africans SHAMELESS since time immemorial. After selling our brethren as SLAVES, it is time to go there voluntarily instead of developing our own society!

PATHETIC sad

In the words of Oliver de Coque, you cant sell Ice to an eskimo, why would JayZ or any other producer leave New york with its teeming talents to come sign a rap artist here in Nigeria? Seriously no matter how good do you think they can be better than their rappers there? Look at the most successful African artistes to have made waves worldwide you hardly see any one of them doing Rap or R&B. I wish some peeps would outgrow this delusion.

I was expecting to see artists like Lil Kesh or Kiss Daniel or one of these young boys now making waves- although, to be very very sincere here, I think Lil Kesh is singing rubbish; 'rhythmically pleasant' rubbish. Who knows, maybe the vacuity of the boy's lyrics is why he didn't feature on this list of 7. It doesn't matter, though. Nigerians love Lil Kesh!!! cheesy

So, do you agree with the writer of this article? The only artist i know on the list is Brymo embarassed

Truth is there is no appeal for the garbage they churn out. At most they will only feature foreign artistes and thats where it ends. D'banj tried it we all know how it ended.

Ice-prince?? Ice-prince is dumb, lame and an excuse of a rapper since he released aboki. He sort of couldn't get off that rapping style. He needs a psychologist.
Ice-prince will release a track with a cool name like "that could be us" download it and you will hate your self for wasting data. Meanwhile a 'that could be us' vine of 5 seconds beats that poo mtchwwwwwwwwwww!!!

Years back, it was tupac,Snoop dog,Dr dre videos and songs that occupied our screens, airwaves and party halls.God helped our artistes, they got independence and started doing naija kinda beat and songs and took over channel o,our party halls etc. This caused bad market for western musicians hence the need to send Jay Z to come establish a record label and get artistes to do there kinda songs to enable them re-take the Nigerian and indeed the african music space. Dear dangote, abeg borrow me the money wy u been wan use go buy heartbreak(arsenal)make I use promote naija songs
