Good luck sacked the inspector general of police, NPA director etc but why adding "close ally" to Peter obi. Is that to distinguish him and make him target for the new administration. If he had sacked others, why do u think others are not close allies of friends to close allies? Na WA for Una u oh!

Why the last minute sacking. I want to believe that the sack is being instigated by coordinating minister of the economy Okonjo Iweala. cos I read on the dailies where she reported that the FG has lost billions of dollars due to the granting of pioneer status for a straight period of 5yrs instead of 3yrs and 2yr extended. She Okonjo slept on her duties before now. now recommending a sack.

After May 29... I bet Okonjo & her cohorts will surely go down.

#Yours sincerely

ViralBOY:
I don't still understand why Jonathan is making all this dying minute moves. Abeg do comot angry

Its simple:

Create as much HAVOC as much as possible, for the incoming Govt so that he spends the next one year trying to put a semblance of order in the nation while finding it difficult to hit the ground running and achieve his promises.

It is called 'V' for VENDETTA!

For example: Look at the Petroleum scarcity situation which has been going on endlessly.
One of the "cheap points" of Jonathan administration was that there was no fuel queues or less of such under his Govt....

But at what cost? Massive Corruption in the name of SUBSIDY!

A few days to election, Jonathan unilaterally reduce the price of PMS by #10 (that is not our change meanwhile!).
He did not think about how to fund the shortfall and pay the Marketers he already has a fixed price with.

Now that he has lost the election, those Marketers are saying pay us our shortfall but he is not concerned, as far as he knows, we can all go to hell and burn.
That is WICKEDNESS!.... and unbefitting of someone who is so desperate to be remembered as a "statesman".

He has sacked more people in the last one month (and appointed cronies in their place), than since he became President six years ago!

Reasonable people have asked: Why not let the incoming administration who will be working with these people, for the next four years, do this re-organisation, if it is even necessary? No way, he must vent his anger on every sector of the economy meanwhile, he did not remember to sack his "rumor mills" concubine and thieving Minister for Petroleum (Dezianni Allison Madueke). wink

But l strongly believe that GMB will simply REVERSE all these "last-minute struggles of a dying horse", immediately he assumes power.
Nauseating indeed!

When it mattered, he refused to sack people like Abba Moro who supervised the murder of unemployed Nigerian youths. He also refused when it mattered to sack people like Stella Oduah who was caught deeping both hands in our national pot of soup. Now the man Jonathan has finally realised he has the powers to sack people even if it means at the last minute when it doesnt matter... and yet some people still wonder why we said the man is clueless.

http://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/181830-angry-workers-shut-down-nipc-demand-secretarys-sack.html
Angry workers of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission on Tuesday shut down official business in protest of the continued stay in office of Saratu Umar, the Executive Secretary of the commission.
The workers, who demanded Ms. Umar’s immediate sack, from the investment promotion agency, accusing her of “gross incompetence, high handedness and staff intimidation”, particularly her alleged nsensitivity to staff welfare and improved working conditions.

http://www.naijalately.com/news/alleged-staff-intimidation-rattles-nipc-workers
There is an uneasy calm at the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, NIPC, following the alleged intimidation of workers after the recent peaceful protest at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
Our correspondent gathered that the strike by the staff under the auspices of Trade Union Congress, TUC two weeks ago, has degenerated into the alleged ‘militarisation’ of the headquarters complex.
The staff, had during the strike locked the NIPC headquarters located at Maitama, Abuja for three days to protest the alleged “incompetence, high-handedness, fraudulent practices, intimidation and lack of capacity by the Executive Secretary, Ms. Saratu Umar to provide good leadership for the Commission.
