when a woman is fed up, she's better left alone. your friend should man up, this is no longer the era where men lose their dignity because of a confused woman. when one door closes, keep your head up & spot another door that is about to open.

You are right. He is blinded by the early love.

Inform both parents. Every payment made traditionally shd be returned. Move on with your life. Broken engagement is better than a broken marriage.
