MTN Nigeria CEO has confirmed our the sacking of all of us. MTN Management has met with select Group of supervisors.

CCR Management and Vendors have met with Team Leads. 1st Aug. has been confirmed as transition date. All Lagos Call Centres will be closed. We will be out of Job within 3 months. This is the reality. Our destiny now in our own hands. Be ready for Mass action to stop this process. We say NO !!! CCR Unite

They plan to terminate of CCR agents by 1st August.
The New provider is ISON they will offer us N 35,000 Naira only.
They have no plans for those of us working with the current providers. They have agreed with MTN Group that our salaries are too high for them to pay.
They will sack all of us within three months from 1st August.
This is real !!
MTN Nigeria has said we are contract staff (both independent contractors and vendor-based contractors) and NO Severance will be paid to anyone.
We will be out of Jobs and we will have no money after the last salary in July.
Why is MTN South Africa suddenly excluded from this arrangement and Nigeria Not.
MTN is making the most revenue and profit from Nigeria. The least they can do is to keep us in employment.
Nigerians must rise to defend us!
We must Stop MTN from this arrangement. 4500 jobs of young Nigerians on the line.

Been wandering why ccr's have not spoken out before, let's wait and see. August 1st is just around the corner

CCRs are scared of commenting cos of the fear of been quoted and prob loosing of job. let's hope for the best; I believe Aug is around the corner

Heard it has been extended till October 31st, dunno if it's true though, cos there is no mail to the effect, God be with us all

Heard that a childish protest was done at their main office, my relation told me what is happening in that MTN.
How could protesters do so without inviting TV or Print media House for a coverage, What U guys there needs to do is to.
Stage a peaceful demonstration at Ur main branches shut down no work, Ur Apapa branch stages there's along that A papa Road with placards no burning Nor fighting.
Ur Branches at VGC and anyone on dat Axis or on the Island can also do the same along that Ajah VGC road, but get media house involved, to pick us just a few video clips and interviews, that is how we do it in Federal or State, and was what Raddison Blu staff did too.
All other branches across Nigeria if u have any at Abuja pls do so.
That arrangement must have been concluded in paper what put can still be kept pending should Government gets involved.
Nigeria is trying hard in recent times to grow and strengthen indigenous local products and service rendering, and should not get international contractors to take away jobs local firms are doing and improving on.
In recent times Ur customer care services has been better than Etisalate,Airtel,and even Glo.
If u also can write to Lagos state Government and hear what they have to say in the matter.
If u people wait till that said August 1st Lol haaa haaa it would have been too too late.
Trust me.
If u don't have a Union, u can register one the requirements are not much check on NLC site, But u need the Electronic and Print media, and a peaceful demonstration.
