Maxwell Adeyemi Adeleye posted this on his facebook account this morning. What's your opinion on it?

How Time Vindicates

First: When Asiwaju Segun ONI was governing Ekiti State,
I and many youths were made to believe by supposed
Mentors that the Ifaki-Ekiti born Engineer turned
politician represent fraud, sleaze and corruption.
We were made to believe that ONI is a pathological thief
that no man of honour, integrity and dignity should
identify with. I was very rooted in ONI must go project
then. I used to consider my friends supporting his
government as anti-ekiti development.
However, those who tutored us against ONI then are now
the one celebrating him. They have recanted. Today,
time has vindicated the few that were supporting Oni
then.

Second: When Jonathan led federal government removed
fuel subsidy in January 2012, I kicked. I cursed many
friends that supported the policy. We grounded Nigeria
with mass actions. Over 2000 people followed me on
Facebook during the anti-subsidy struggle. All the excuses
given by government agents were rebuffed. Revert to N65
was our stand.

However, we never knew that some politicians
masquerading as Activists and supposed Mentors to the
younger generation that were leading us knew the truth
but chose to kick against the policy implemented to better
the lots of the common people, preliminary challenges
notwithstanding.

We were made to believe that removing subsidy would
shut down common people. We never knew that Subsidy is
pro-capitalists! It is a policy that increases the wealth
of those in charge of economy and market at the
detriment of the common people.
The opposition capitalized on the ignorance of the vast
majority of Nigerians and the failure of federal
government to sensitize Nigerians on the benefits and
demerits of the policy.
We tagged pro-subsidy elements VILLAINS while anti-
subsidy supporters were regarded as HEROES and
HEROINES.

Take for instance, over 20,000 Nigerians followed Nasir
Elrufai on twitter during the anti-subsidy struggle.
Elruafi rode on the ignorance of Nigerians to stardom.
Today, Elrufai is the Governor-elect of Kaduna State.
He became the friend of the commoners? during anti-
subsidy struggle.

Another anti-subsidy hero? Dino-Melaye is now a
Senator-elect. Shehu Sani who led the common people to
shut down Kaduna City is now a Senator-elect. Highly
experienced Opposition politicians that we thought are
Activists knew the truth but they refused to tell us
because of their strive for power. We were cajoled.
Today, feelers from the camp of the incoming
government indicates that fuel subsidy might be removed before by January 2016.

Now, I believe that two ethnic groups exist only in political
economy-the RICH and the POOR. The interest of the
RICH is to use all means necessary to get power and
accumulate wealth while the poor serve the rich.
I want to declare unequivocally that we (common people)
were used by the rich in the opposition to dethrone the
rich in the now demystified ruling party.

Meanwhile, time has vindicated those who supported the
removal of fuel subsidy that the majority of Nigerians
thought it was an anti-masses project meant to drag
them into disdain, perpetual slavery and economic
stagnation.

Country people, let me conclude by stating that Majority
is not always PROPRIETY. Always interrogate public
consensus dispassionately (apologies to VIO).
MAA 2015.

before writing, the least you can do is to consider the historical perspective of the the subject matter.
We did not have Subsidy fraud under Obasanjo even though he tried to remove it under pressure from Iweala masters( imf and world).
The idea was to increase the amount of money for developmental purposes.
However, we all know that the problem has never been money or lack. It is the morbidly corrupt nd incompetent leaders and politicians who steal everything in sight.
There was no Subsidy on kerosene or diesel yet they created one.
Waiver which Obasanjo introduced to allow for the importation of telecommunications equipments to hasten the development of GSM was turned into a bazaar for the importation of pots, pans, candles, cutlass.
