$20billion Mismanagement Fund; Ask Your Governor By Maxwell Adeyemi Adeleye by fako1(m): 4:15pm On May 27, 2015 |
The columnist, an indigene of Ekiti state; yesterday, decided to tell Nigerians to ask their governors. He posted this via his facebook account "Maxwell Adeyemi Adeleye" which goes thus; Many Nigerians including myself have been fooled for too long. When Governors accused NgoziOkonjo Iweala (NOI) of mismanaging $20billion excess crude oil fund (ECA), I marveled. I asked myself that "why did Jonathan allow this woman to wickedly mismanage our common wealth?". I never knew the Governors were lying to Nigerians. In swift radar, NOI said she would not allow supposed men of integrity be feeding Nigerians with falsehood, hence, she opened the can of worm. She exposed what each of the governors got from ECA and sure-p. NOI said the $20bn was shared among the three tiers of government from June 2011 to June 2014. She said a total of N2.92trillion has been distributed to 36 states from the Excess Crude Account. She said ECA balance as at May 2015 is $2.07BN, not N0.00 as claimed by the Governors. My State, Ekiti got N46billion from Excess crude oil account within three years. N46billion plus the regular monthly allocation from Abuja, grants and Internally Generated Revenue, yet, gbese plenty. Country people, Check what your Governors have collected from ECA. Ask questions from your governors. Don't just be demanding for how federal government spends its share. You should be more concerned about your states and local government areas because they are the closest to you. #Ask your governors...
