Trending on major social networks at the time of filing this report was the detention and harassment of a lecturer (Names Witheld) and the student union president, Holla Holla.

information reaching us states that a funaab lecturer was arrested by trace and taken to the obantoko police station. He called holla holla. but unfortunately when he (holla holla) arrived at the police station,there was an exchange of verbal weapons which got Mr. presi beaten and detained….the lecturer(a prof) is still in detention but presi as been released and told to report back at the station tomorrow morning.

Few hours later after the arrest and release of Mr. presi followed an update that has been publicized on major social networks by the funaabsu p.r.o, dynamics urging fellow students to take a stand and “Say No Against The Arrest”. some students have expressed their concern over the unfortunate incident. An anonymous student said:

Its time funaabite fight for our freedom,let us all be freedom fighter cos we are hia to study does not mean we should be maltreated by any foolish being.Infact tomorrow wnt be easy at all for does policemen. No movement tomorrow at all

Another wrote:

I support d protest .buh I think should start frm d school gate cause most people won’t show up .so it beta to block d school gate. so every body can come down there,let show dem wot we are.@least for d first time.

so it as become a routine? our SUG president have and must rescue a detained lecturer why will a prof call holla when he is not under the umbrella of the student union?? it sounds ridiculous and irritating that a professor would call an undergraduate SUG president to give him freedom from the captivity of the Nigeria police!!!!!#stillthinking.
