BBC sparked worldwide concern after tweeting that the Queen had died At a time when information travels at light speed, blunders are not uncommon on Twitter and on canvas. And the example this morning will remain in the anal! Indeed, Ahmen Khawaja , a BBC journalist announced on his account Twitter hospitalization and death of Queen Elizabeth II : "Queen Elizabeth II is currently hospitalized at the Edward VII Hospital in London" . Following this tweet, many international news agencies relayed the information and reported that Queen Elizabeth II was hospitalized. But a few minutes later, a new tweet of Ahmen Khawaja shook England: "The Queen Elizabeth is dead" . "Do not count your chickens before they're hatched" The British can blow, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is not dead and is even in shape. Buckingham Palace has quickly denied his hospitalization following urgent dispatches signaling his admission to hospital Edwardian London. The Queen has done a check-up this morning, but she's fine. Journalist Ahmen Khawaja has in turn quickly deleted the messages posted on his account Twitter and apologized. But too late to not cause the ball of the year! The BBC has also explained on this error. The English television channel said that writing was an internal test this morning, which was a repeat used to assess the reactions of journalists in case of death of the queen.
