APC lawmakers are currently expressing surprise that Hon Yakubu Dogara said he has more than 200 supporters. Only for him to resist moves by the party to conduct a primary election between him and Femi Gbajabiamila. The Dogara’s camp are saying that election should be postponed because they did not mobilize to the ICC, venue of the meeting and are leaving the venue in protest.

An APC lawmaker from Kano said ” no matter how Dogara and his camp keep buying time and the APC as a party want to ensure PDP does not hijack the House of Representatives election. It’s obvious that the most popular candidate would finally emerge on Tuesday. ”

Another member from Benue in his response to happenings at the conference center in Abuja, “Even a mad man can see that majority of Reps members entering the ICC hall were flaunting Femi Gbaja ‘s badge . It is becoming a fact that Femi Gbaja is more popular among members than any other candidate”

**Few hours after the deliberation and intervention of the NWC on possibility of conducting the mock election on Saturday. Initially Members reached truce on need to conduct the election. Only for some members of Dogara’s camp to leave when it was obvious Gbajabiamila has majority of APC members by him and members resisted moves to impose Dogara as deputy also failed
