Dinosaurs aren't the only things wreaking havoc this time around.

When people think of Mercedes-Benz, they think of quality German engineering, style, Pterodactyls and luxury. So it’s only natural that Mercedes has paid to place its cars in the upcoming “Jurassic World” movie. (Mercedes also debuted the M-Class crossover in 1997's “The Lost World: Jurassic Park,” which was a terrible movie.—ED) Here, the star is not Chris Pratt, but a lineup of cars including the new GLE, the G63 AMG 6x6 and a small army of Sprinter vans and Unimogs.

Parts of the trailers look like thinly-veiled Mercedes ads, but it’s doubtful that movie-goers will care when they see a dinosaur get pulverized by a jacked-up Unimog. Hopefully, these cars will hold up to dinosaur abuse better than the glass-topped Ford Explorers from the first “Jurassic Park” movie.

In case you’re tempted to focus on the off-road monster that is the G63 AMG 6x6, Mercedes has launched an extensive media campaign for the new 2016 GLE Coupe that will also be included in the movie. According to the Mercedes website, the GLE will have a 362-hp biturbo V6 and permanent 4Matic all-wheel drive. Both of those turbochargers should be of great assistance when fleeing packs of velociraptors.
