A customer bought some goods from my wife and paid in dollars. However while going through the bills I realised one of the 100 Dollar bill is a 1996 series. A few years ago in Cameroon I had problems converting bills that were older than 2001 in the banks. With the circulation of the new highly sophisticated 100 bills, the older bills are fast falling out of favour. I know in the US the series of a bill is never an issue so long as it is authentic. However is the 1996 series still widely accepted in Nigeria? |
