Ezechima and Uzoima Patrick, a 42 year old man and his wife have been arrested for raping their 16-year old maid.

ASP Godwin Anyanwu,police prosecutor disclosed that the accused committed the offences between June 1 and June 4 at their residence, No.14, Iyajesha St., Amikonle in Alagbado, Lagos.

The Prosecutor explained that the wife held down the teenage maid while her Husband perpetuated the act.

''Patrick conspired with his wife to defile the 16-year-old girl. Uzoima had overpowered the girl for the husband to rape her. Uzoima threatened to stab her with a knife to force her to cooperate with her husband'', Anyanwu disclosed.

Appearing before a magistrate court in Yaba, the couple, denied the charge, and the Magistrate, Mrs Yewande Aje-Afunwa, granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.

About time death penalty is passed into law for rapists. This couple are worse than animals

Such acts can only be perpetrated by the people from the other side of the divide.

And now jail awaits them for their action

The news is difficult to believe.

I think this can happen only if the couple wanted to use the maid for juju or sort.

This is certainly a case were the accused needs to be presumed innocent until proven otherwise. The average Nigerian woman will not help not help her husband to rape another woman.

They need to question the girl very well.
