TERRORISM & MASS MURDER IN SOUTH CAROLINA, USA
Pretending to Cure a Disease We Dare NOT Speak its Name

The 21 year old American who, on June 17, 2015, coldly murdered nine people in the sanctuary of the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, USA, told the sole survivor that the only reason he spared her life was for her to "spread the message" that his goal was to kill black people. His former roommate said the murderer planned "for 6 months" to kill black people in the hope that the killing would "start a race war." When the police caught up with the killer he was wearing the apartheid-era racist flags of South Africa and Rhodesia (the territory later re-named Zimbabwe). Clearly, the killer’s objective was to terrorize black Americans by mass murder.

However, America's mainstream media which is allergic to words like "racism" or "terrorism" whenever mass murder is committed in America, by Americans, against Americans, has quickly resorted to such diversionary euphemisms as "unfathomable," "senseless act," "mental illness," and “we may never know what was going on in his head," etc. Welcome to the United States of Amnesia, the social milieu where we dare not see what we care not to see. Of course, the politicians quickly mimic the national media. Despite police briefing even the state governor, Nikki Haley, falsely claimed that "we do not know why anyone would want to do this sort of thing." Thus, whatever the empirical evidence, our society continues to object to the possibility that one of us could be a terrorist. To show our rejection of reality we continue to ask "why" the tragedy happened.

Of course we know why: it’s called RACE, HATE and HISTORY.

On December 20, 1860, South Carolina became the first state to secede from the "Union" of the United States of America. Having first militarily attacked the South Carolina-based soldiers of the United States Government, S.C. and 10 other slave-owning states formed the Confederate States of America to defend the continuation of slavery. The result was the American Civil War in which an estimated 620,000 people lost their lives. Ultimately, the traitors who fought to defend the institution of slavery were decisively defeated. While some of the Confederate states reformed themselves but South Carolina and a few others remained unreconstructed bastions of racism and bigotry. Now, 155 years later, S.C. remains a vibrant seat of anti-Americanism venerating symbols of racism. Chief among those hated symbols is the pro-slavery Confederate flag which still flies with primitive shamelessness, in front of the South Carolina State House. While the other 49 "states" and sovereign territories of the U.S. proudly display "Old Glory" (the U.S. flag) over government buildings, in S.C. it is the Nazi-like Confederate flag (its larger size legislatively mandated) that is more prominently displayed than even the actual flag of the United States of America.

S.C. has conspicuously failed to enact HATE CRIME LAWS. The absence of hate crime laws creates absence of psychosomatic barrier to the wantonness of race-based violence. Still, the state governor and sections of the U.S. media claim to not know why an avowed racist entered a church and murdered nine people who are racially-different than him. HERE IS A POINT WE MUST NOT FORGET: violence fueled by racism, tribalism, religion and discriminatory "otherness" are universal. For example, European soccer fans are still making "grunting" monkey chants and throwing banana peels at black players all over Europe, and blood has barely dried on arrows and cutlasses with which BLACK South Africans murderously reminded fellow Africans to "go home." In fact the United States of America is one of the few nations on earth that is proactively punishing and discouraging racial violence. The U.S. takes very seriously the ideal of continuously perfecting a national union forged from human diversity.

But CHANGE in America has never come from purely human benevolence as there is a limit to what laws or government can do to change human behavior. Some people seem addicted to racism. Thankfully, in USA, there is a proven antidote to the wink-wink tone-deafness of public officials who refuse to use their position to improve the human condition. THE ONLY LANGUAGE THAT RACISTS-CUDDLING PUBLIC OFFICIALS UNDERSTAND IS ECONOMIC BOYCOTT. Because racism is a luxury economic boycott makes that luxury far too expensive for commerce, states and public officials. The main business of America is business and American politicians work for various Business Communities. Therefore, whenever you squeeze the business community in their pockets, in a coordinated way, politicians suddenly see the light that the only color that counts in USA is not Black, White or Brown, but GREEN.

Green, as in dollars.

African American buying power for 2015 is projected at $1.3 TRILLION. That is, the annual buying power of black Americans is $1,300 BILLION, which is greater than the GDP of Australia, Mexico, Spain, Russia, Indonesia as well as 2X greater than the GDP of Turkey, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. More importantly, South Carolina is one of the poorest states in the United States. Of the 50 States of America, S.C. usually ranks 49th or last in key human metric like health outcome, education, prevention of infant mortality, infrastructure, literacy, etc. If common sense was common one would expect South Carolina officials to actively embrace diversity but, some very old habits die hard. However, Project America cannot remain hostage to the grievances of those still angry at their great-grandfathers lost the right to own fellow humans.

It is time to help South Carolina embrace the ideal of equality and modernity.
HOW?

ECONOMIC BOYCOTT IS A TRIED AND TRUE METHOD TO HELP SOUTH CAROLINA'S PUBLIC OFFICIALS ATTAIN ATTITUDE READJUSTMENT. It is time for the NAACP, National Urban League, RainbowPUSH Coalition, National Action Network, the Greater Civil Rights Community and the true moral majority of America to revisit the issue of economic boycott. America has made great progress in race relations to the point that racism should now qualifies as anti-American creed. Those who are embrace this discriminatory creed should NOT be rewarded with our tax dollars. We will be discussing this within the NAACP.

INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY, ALL WHO BELIEVE IN ONE DIVERSE USA MUST BEGIN TO ECONOMICALLY BOYCOTT SOUTH CAROLINA.
