This is strictly my opinion based on actual research and first class information.



I have read keenly the various versions of write up against the DSS and I can say in my opinion, they are nothing but attempts to tarnish the personality of the Director General of the DSS a southerner whose crime is borne out of tribalism by a camp in the Buhari administration. Arrowhead of the campaign is the former chief of Army staff Abdul Rahman Dambazzau who was not happy with the way former President Goodluck Jonathan sacked him from office following the yardua saga and he is also aspiring to become the NSA to Buhari. Following him is Daura a former director of the DSS who retired from the service not long ago and he's also desperately interested in becoming the Director General of the service which has made the duo to tarnish the image of the DG of DSS before President Buhari.

The President however believed these two men because they are both northern muslims from Katsina against a christain south south from Calabar which has contributed in the president shutting the DG from the security meetings until a muslim northerner from the North especially katsina is appointed. These men have also linked Mr Ekpeyong to the PDP which is also a campaign of hatred against him since the DG of DSS is always close to the president. If in doubt, why is Daura struggling to become the DG of DSS when there are competent people within the service that can replace Mr Ekpeyong. These Northerners don't want this because the people in line to takeover from Mr Ekpeyong are most from the South. Similar case was replicated and have been a source of worry in the appointment of a substantive Accountant General of the Federation because a northerner who is not qualified is already acting.

They have succeeded in throwing the success of the DG to the dustbin which among others included the tracking, arrest and ongoing prosecutions of very important Boko Haram members which include Abu Qaqa, Kabiru Sokoto, Ogwuche among others. It's also worthy of note that the DSS arrested the most famous kidnapper in the south south Kelvin. These are just few of the success the service achieved at a time when the presence of soldiers in Borno state couldn't stop Boko Haram from bombing Maiduguri.

The DG will definitely leave office when the President decides but this campaign of hatred by the northern muslim against a christain southerner must stop. Their desperation is doing Nigeria no good and if the President continues to listen to these desperadoes especially Dambazzau who boldly lied to him recently that the least soldier earns #87 000 as against #50 000, then those who opined that Tunde Idiagbon was the one that ruled Nigeria is 1983 will be vindicated.

Some have opined that the DSS was truly biased and that the DG should be punished. Let me refresh such peoples' memories that the Army Authority told Nigerians that President Buhari's certificate is not in their custoday yet the President continue to meet with them. Also the Police were found wanting in the Rivers House of Assembly crisis spare headed by AIG Mbu yet nobody is blaming the police for being impartial but quick to criticize the DSS.

The President needs to act fast and stop listening to sycophants who are lying to him in order to gain appointments. There is no crisis anywhere just some men who want to occupy the office of the NSA and the DG of DSS spreading campaign of hatred against the DG. They have used tribal sentiments, religion bigotry and political machinations to spread their hate campaign and advance their evil ambitions. President Buhari is the president of Nigeria not the President of Northern Nigeria or Katsina and should treat every service chief equally irrespective of their relion or ethnic group else he will be seen as an unjust leader. Enough of the hate campaign because Nigerians must know the truth.

The DSS is a creation of the constitution, so it will outlive any discrimination it's facing driven by tribalism. The management of terrorism in Nigeria is in the hand of the military not the DSS.

When the dss under the southern director and southern president was attacking buhari and apc, did you hear anyone saying he was working for his southern brother? Nobody complained using his region and religion cos we knew he was just being loyal to his boss. Even if it was a notherner that was there, he'd do worst than the man currently on the seat as director of DSS.

if Ogar and the DG are not shamelessly thrown out, then apc is not the governing party. Can imagine ogar coming out to tell the world that part of what they recovered frm apc data office was a hard drive used for hacking into inec data base? Who uses an external hard drive to hack? Where is the intelligence about this intelligence gathering unit? They must go down.

DSS officials ejected from Aso Rock on Wednesday, Presidency reacts


Department of State Services (DSS) officials attached to the Presidential Villa, Abuja were reportedly ordered out of the premises on Wednesday, June 24.

The officials, who were ejected from the villa, belong to the Body Guard Unit of the DSS and had been working in the Presidential Villa since the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

A security aide of President Muhammadu Buhari was said to have gone round offices in the evening to chase the DSS officials out, saying that a directive had been given that they should no longer be allowed access into the premises.

We had reported some days ago that the DSS officials may be replaced with operatives of the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps, especially after the rejection of about 253 new operatives of the DSS recently redeployed from the service’s various state commands to the Presidential Villa.

Some of the DSS officials who were chased out of the villa revealed to Punch Newspapers that they would most likely resume at their beat on Thursday (today) unless they receive a contrary directive from their headquarters.

“We were asked to leave the premises or risk arrest. As I am talking to you now, some of us are gathering under the trees while some others have left. It is surprising but we have no choice than to resume here again tomorrow (today) and see what will happen.

“The only reason why we may not come here is if we receive any other directive from our headquarters,” one of the officials told our correspondent on the telephone.

Reacting to the development, the Presidency issued a statement through the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.

Adesina said Buhari had not given any order for the expulsion of DSS officials from the Presidential Villa.

“Rumours that personnel of the Department of State Services have been expelled from the Presidential Villa are unfounded. President Muhammadu Buhari has given no such order.

While it is true that a reorganisation of security at the Presidential Villa which involves the realignment of personnel from various services is underway, the exercise does not translate to the expulsion of DSS personnel from the premises in any way. The changes being made are routine adjustments which are not unexpected in any dynamic environment from time to time.” [/s]
