Francis takes a steady stand,
Pointing with a steady hand,
Those who in weapons trade,
Do not make the Christian grade.

Even those owning shares,
Trading in deathly wares,
They as well, falling short,
Christian life can’t be bought.

Leaders plying deadly strife,
Drones and bombs taking life,
Cannot take a Christian place,
Killing types, unchristian face.

Those who for leaders vote,
Need to make a careful note,
They empower, just the same,
As the killers, taking blame.

Those of greed, supporting war,
Will not find an open door,
Souls adrift, slow dissipate,
Eaten up by burning hate.
