President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, June 25, 2015, appointed a serving director in the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Ahmed Idris, the new Accountant General of the Federation.

The appointment was made public bythe Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Danladi Kifasi, through a statement by his Director of Communications, Haruna Imrana, on Thursday in Abuja. The statement also added that the appointment was with immediate effect from June 25, 2015.
