Buhari noted that Saraki never contested the presidential ticket of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the party’s presidential primaries in January. Buhari was reacting to claims by Saraki that he stepped down from the presidential race to support the emergence of Buhari as the APC candidate for the March 28 presidential election. Buhari, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said there was no truth in Saraki’s claim.
