It will be incumbent on me if I fail to give
the meaning of dilemma: Dilemma is a
situation in which a choice has to be
made between two or more alternatives
especially undesirable. It is unfortunate that many so called Christians are in a
state of dilemma. Many don't even
believe the bible any more because of
their life style and compromise of the
Word of God. Today many so called
Christians are ashamed of carrying the bible even in their homes, they don't want
others to know that they are for Christ
because their deeds are evil. Those who
claim that they are born again cannot
defend their faith. It is ironical to see
many preachers who misinterpret the word of God. This flagrant misapplication
of the scripture by modern Christian
ministers concerning the biblical laws
should stop.
However, the Muslim Ramadan is going
on now, every where you meet a Muslim the first thing you will hear from him or
her" am fasting", why because am a
Muslim both young and old become bold
enough to tell you whether you like it or
not coupled with their tasbeeh (chaplet)
in their hands and neck. But some Christians both young and old find it
difficult to mention the name of Jesus or
carry the bible along with them in their
pocket what a shame. In the book of
Isaiah chapter 5:8,20, the prophet
pronounced woes to those who see evil and call it good and good they called evil,
so many so called Christians are like that
because they support the evil deeds of
the world. No wonder many who said
they are Christians still go to native
doctor's house for an enquiry or false prophets or psychic man or woman to
check their destiny after they profess that
they are born again, what a hypocrisy?
do we find in the mix of the so called
Christians. Finally, the flippancy in taking
the scripture out context and erroneously applying them to themselves to support
their denominational teachings shows a
non-caring attitude to what God has
written. The people often face the
dilemma of preachers and the systems of
the world. Just as Joshua told the children of Israel to choose these day the
God they will serve but for him and his
family they will serve the Living God. If
the Christians will stand solidly on the
Word of God without dogmatic attitude of
denominational fantasy will put the devil to shame. If we say Jesus is our master
let all who say they are born again mind
the same thing, which is Jesus only Jesus
ever. May the almighty God give us
understanding, wisdom, knowledge so
that at the end of our journey here on earth will meet with Jesus.
