Pascal Egbosimba, a 15-year old senior secondary school student and a native of Ntueke, Ideato South local government area of Imo state, committed suicide over the weekend. Before his death, Pascal was staying with his mother and siblings at Toronto Junction in Uratta area of the State.

Pascal’s mother has been lamenting over the demise of Pascal, noting that he had no reason to commit suicide as she never scolded him. The deceased, a senior secondary school student of Passion Model Secondary School, Egbu area of Imo State committed suicide by hanging himself on a ceiling fan using an electric extension cable, when his mother was away for a night vigil.

An unnamed police source from Uratta, the Owerri North Local Government Divisional Police Headquarters, confirmed the tragedy, saying the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) had already visited the scene of the incident.

His corpse has already been deposited in an unknown mortuary.
