My point is, why do u think there's is better? Or how it should be done?

I am not against using something foreign as long as it's useful and there re no alternatives locally.

But when u start feeling that how they do it is how it should be done or they re always right, then that's mental slavery!
I am talking about presentation and you are talking about mental slavery The flowers are not properly done. In addition, there are better flowers in Nigeria that are more appropriate for such an environment. This is about presentation and creating am environment that gives a lasting impression. We should strive to be the best and create the best. We have lots of different flowers and plants that are a lot more beautiful than those in the western world, we need to utilise them as well as build a more inspiring structures.

Oh dear. So something nice is now synonymous with oyinbo people? Beautifying the campus environment isn't that expensive and it shouldn't be exclusive to white people. We need Morden horticultural studies for Agric students.

you implied that with ur post by saying that is how a university should look like. there is no particular standard of how a university should be,it depends on a lot of things. Ur pics r beautiful no doubt but every campus must not look like that. Imsu garden is also nice.

Now u re talking! Next time use pictures of those Nigerian flowers that are properly presented and not the western one, so that ur message will be passed clearly!

Nigerian buildings and environment are so uninspiring.
Forget about the buildings, this is what a university environment should look like.

Na wao! Just forget that we're trying and just slam the efforts of everyone who architected, built, and maintains the campus. No "nice effort, be inspired", just straight up "you suck". Wow.

Anyways, I give the love garden a 6. Dem try sha, but it can definitely be spruced up, like you were saying with appropriate flower beds, etc.

I like the cut grass, the benches, the interlocked tiles, the sculptures, the fact there was no litter, and also the solar street lights. I liked it as I wish more credit would be given considering the resources.

Okay, I will edit my comments... This is commendable and I am in no way dismissing the effort of anyone. I believe we should strive to get better.

Seems I have unintentionally struck some nerves. I do appreciate their effort but I believe we can do better. A little bit of 'better presentation' doesn't hurt. I will advise them to do more research on horticultural technologies to keep up to date with the modern ways of presentation.

this is a university owned by the government for crying out loud, why should they be so strict on dressing

And that dress code is ridiculous. Some of the things banned there makes no sense.

LOOL attires banned on campus!!! that is really funny

men can't wear earrings and women cant wear Rastafarian hairstyles...na wa!

is it common throughout Nigerian universities or is Imo particularly stringent.

It is hypocritical of university authorities to impose dress codes on adult students in a university.

Normally, persons in authority who impose such dress codes watch every edition of pornographic videos.
