My point is, why do u think there's is better? Or how it should be done?

I am not against using something foreign as long as it's useful and there re no alternatives locally.

But when u start feeling that how they do it is how it should be done or they re always right, then that's mental slavery!

You are a hero! I know Nigeria has millions of hero's like you that's why it is the giant of Africa grin

I am talking about presentation and you are talking about mental slavery The flowers are not properly done. In addition, there are better flowers in Nigeria that are more appropriate for such an environment. This is about presentation and creating am environment that gives a lasting impression. We should strive to be the best and create the best. We have lots of different flowers and plants that are a lot more beautiful than those in the western world, we need to utilise them as well as build a more inspiring structures.

Standing up for mediocrity is what heroes do so you should let the hero be. cheesy

It is hypocritical of university authorities to impose dress codes on adult students in a university.

Normally, persons in authority which impose such dress codes watch every edition of pornographic videos.
young MAN, pls go get a seat behind sound reasoning and learn ,so because I watch pono, does DAT make me destroy all d good conducts the society requires of me ?do we all go nude in the public simply because we all now watch pono in our various privacies? do we throw away the baby with the water bath simply because the bath is dirty?? can train things are maint for privacies don't you get it ? BAD dress sense shouldn't be encouraged in the public, even if every one on earth sleeps with some other persons

IMSU is growing. The new faculty of law is very much OK. The accreditation going on in the school is putting Mgt of the skul on their toes. A lot of improvement needed though

do u appreciate the way and manner , your fellow girls have come to abuse dress sense this days ?, do you have a problem with moderate and decent way of dressing ? do you envy this modern day dress life style in vogue now ??Your honest answers to this questions will to a long way show the kind of person you are, and the kind of familly you come from . Tnk you miss Uzo

Decency is very relative. That's the problem with Nigerian society, we feel we have a high sense of morality but we lack it in every way. I did my 1st degree in Nigeria n now i'm doing my masters abroad. The difference is very clear, nobody bugs students about what they wear because it's a university n it's an institution 4 adults, nobody has d right 2 dictate 2 u what u wear but the more important things wc is academics n morals is visible here. Everyone respects everybody whether lecturer or student, lecturers come on time 4 their classes n r readily available 4 consultation, when u work hard u get d result of ur hardwork, no stupid lecturer can victimise u cos he doesn't like u or he wants to have sex with u, no cultism, u can go out n come back whatever time u like n nobody will harass or molest you. This is the definition of morality and not making stu.pid dress codes in an institution full of cultist n stu.pid lecturers.

nne, the truth is Naija architecture, landscape architecture, horticulture and general environmental management is very poor and uninspiring. you don't have to imitate them. we need to use our own creativity to improve our enviroment. we need to devote more resources to it. I guess that's what the lady you quoted was trying to say. that imsu pix is so bland and the worst is that most Unis are even worse. the foreign pics obviously have more creativity and are more aesthetic. we simply need to devote more resources and also add more soul and creativity into developing our environment.

foreign styles of architecture tend to evolve with age. for example 50 years ago universities in Britain used bricks but now they tend to feature glass and metal in a lot of their work

I think the soul and creativity you talk about could be done here if the need for that was properly emphasised during the planning stage. but because of urgency the primary goal is to churn out any kind of building, no matter how it looks
