You will see the web addresses of different international news media. The propaganda usually starts with BBC/Reuters and then spreads Yahoo, Google, etc.

Look at the recent killings by Boko Haram:


The question I ask is this:
1. Can't we get independent verification of these alleged killings?
2. Do we always have to rely on these Western media?
3. Why do Nigerians not carry out objective investigation but consume everything they hear from the western media.
4. Do Nigerians believe that the West loves Nigerian more than Nigeria?


Nigerians are consumers of everything. We specialise in consuming the following:
1. Religion
2. Language
3. Culture
4. Identity (We let foreigners tell us who we are)
5. News (from BBC, CNN, etc)

I listen to Radio France International and BBC both in Hausa. I do not listen to BBC English service because it is rubbish (it is for the sheep who believe anything they hear without concrete evidence). When you want to know what is happening in the North and just how the Hausa/Fulani view Nigeria, please listen to RFI and BBC in Hausa. When you listen to the callers (phone in sessions on RFI every evening from 5-6pm) you know exactly where Nigeria is heading. RFI Hausa has good following in Nigeria, Niger, Gambia, Ghana and some other West African countries.

The closest you can get to 'fair' news from the Western Media is France24.
Now the French France24 gives a slightly more objective news than the English version of France24. You will not know this until you can speak French. Get a friend to translate for you while listening to France24. There are subtle differences in the contents.

The answer is for Nigeria to develop their own objective news media. The likes of NBC, NTA and the rest are just pathetic.

As an example the news below says 150 people died in a recent attack. Has this been verified by Nigeria? Who?

I throw a challenge to anyone from that region.........Let us dissect the facts bit by bit.
