Lagos is the land of eerie monsters
Beauty is clothed in multiple colors
The streams, rivers, oceans and lakes
To the affluent abodes of rich loafers
The VGC, Ikoyi, Lekki, Victoria Island to Festac, Magodo and Ikeja
Centers of commerce and unrivalled beauty
There, the fields are evergreen
Inter-locks don the streets making it luxurious
The cars plying the giant bridges
Are like the face of a beautiful princess
The insides are like the body of an endowed virgin
See the skyscrapers, towers, beaches
And the many flyovers and bridges
Are all shaped like the back of a dancer
..
I loathe Lagos
Where cars sprout like grass
People curse and fight naked
Idle touts exploiting the newbies
Cars fume with hate
People always in a haste
Like a mad man in trance
Lagos is the home of ghosts
Men and women walking in tiptoed steps
People who've lost their bearing in life
Wandering aimlessly, speaking to self
Wearing fine clothes but mentally sick
Lagos is the land of thieves
Where serpents drag phones in traffic
And escape to the comfort of the bushes
..
Victoria Island is the temple of the rich
Go there and see giants of men
Go and see buildings that talk
The architectural wonder of 3rd mainland bridge
The ships, yatchs, speedboats and canoes
A place where luxury meets comfort
Come to Odeku
Touch the bull that strikes a pose at the Adenuga Towers
Inhale the beauty of the sunlight
Victoria Island is a beautiful child
See through the Atlantic waters
The vastness of the ocean
Of places the eyes cannot reach
Let the beaches lure you like a naked woman
Barbeach is like milk, a sweet mixture of aquatic wonders
A tranquil atmosphere
Walking on white sand
Watching the waves dance
The cool breeze can lull one to sleep
Many legs have romanced its sands
Hands wet with love cream
Eyes set on fire by emotions
Mouths ready with speech to vow vows

But, Lagos is a city of commotion
Long traffic queues and angry faces
People who rise before daybreak
To be home when the night is long asleep
Working their hearts out for peanuts
Lagos is a land with many faces
I hate to like Lagos
