Indications have emerged that the ailing former Taraba State Governor, Dambaba Suntai, has been abandoned by the state government as well as his friends and associates.
Suntai, who is currently suffering from stroke, and is expected to travel overseas for his regular medical checks, has been told by the new Taraba State governor, Dairus Ishaku, that the state can no longer foot his medical bills.
But he has found succour in the Adamawa State governor, Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow, who has decided to pick his medical bills.
It would be recalled that Suntai , who was involved in a plane crash while in office, was brought back to the country from his American hospital due to the power struggle in the state.
Suntai is expected to travel outside the country this week on Bindow’s bills as tongues continue to wag over the fate of the former governor who has now been abandoned by those who rode on his back to get political offices in the state.
