This is a pic of a robber who got electrocuted while trying to steal cable from a transformer in Iju part of Lagos. He apparently tried to steal the cable in the very early hours of today when he got electrocuted and remained in that position until residents woke up this morning.

Residents say they are waiting for Government officials to come and evacuate his dead body.

Poverty will make people go to very crazy extremes all for survival.
It can't be the love for stealing that would make this man dare high voltage cable. That would have been his last resort.

I'm not an advocate of stealing but. .. I just feel it wasn't his wish to die

Good for him. Maybe a serving NEPA staff of most of their private contractors who steal and resell same NEPA equipment they fixed.

May they continue to die like this. You wake in the morning, the cables are gone and you will be asked by same people that stole them to contribute money to get another one, if not you will not have light. You contribute money to get another one and same NEPA or PHCN or whatever, still steal and resell to the members of the public. They shall all die through this way.

This is clearly an old story and it would be unfortunate if any mod should send it to front page.

Does Nairaland lack front page worthy materials?
