Let's take a look at this....

For newbies
Instead of buying battery charger, UPS, and fan to cool the UPS...
Charger 20apm 10k
UPS 650/1.2kvs 3k/6k
Fan N200
Wire N500
For 650va setup= N13700
Only you can value the stress in getting and putting them up together.. Maybe 2k grin

Why not buy Suoer 1000w inverter with inbuilt charger(Modified Sine wave) for only 15k, to save stress, plenty wire here and there on the ground and space?

...You won't need to buy inverter when you want to upgrade to solar system, will only buy charge controller and Solar panel..

please how can get this inverter if it want to buy

Your mere mention of modified sine wave has spoilt everything! A bluegate 650va UPS produces power output akin to pure sine wave so it is safer than the Suoer 1000w inverter.

People...if you want to buy an inverter and you hear "MODIFIED SINE WAVE"...RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

A modified sine wave inverter does not distribute power output within the range of 220v 230v. There are no power regulations and there could be power surge which will roast your appliances like laptops, tvs, decoders etc. Modified sine wave power devices are preferably used to power heavy duty and resistant appliances such as ACs, heaters etc.

Pure Sine Wave is safer as it gives an output of 220v or finer which means your appliances are safe from heavy load and surges.

It is just like a scenario where your stabilizer which comes from the factory has its transformer that regulates electricity passing to and from it. Since the transformer was fabricated with it's coils by a manufacturing robot that specialises in crafting it and went through proper testing, you are sure of safety while using your stabilizer. Now in a scenario where the transformer of the stabilizer gets burnt-out and you take it for recoiling to a local electrician, the electrician makes use of copper wires and his apparatus to recoil the transformer...there is no way in this world that the stabilizer will perform optimally as it was built. The refabricated transformer can give a lower output or at worse a higher output which will burn anything that is plugged to it.

Just see Pure Sine wave as the "follow come" transformer in your stabilizer while modified as the one fabricated by the local electrician.

You can use a voltmeter to test any battery. Just plug the positive and negative wire to the terminals on the battery. A good battery reading is 12.5 since the batteries are 12v batteries. Anything lesser than 12v means that the battery is not new and effective

Hmmm dis ur explanation de one kain. But you tried sha.

Pure sinewave is simply what ac devices are built to work most efficiently with. However modified sinewaves power inputs tries to mimick such signal form but ends up having a very rough approximate of the signal. That roughness causes heating and some reduction in edficiency.

They both can be made to read 220-230volts but the diff is seen in capacitive and inductive loads. Resistive loads won't give a hoot about whichever is used.

Incandescent bulbs are examples of resistive loads.
Modern laptop, phone chargers, LED TVs are examples of capacitve loads.
Fans, motors, hair dryers, air-conditioners etc are examples of inductive loads

A MSW will cause such devices like chargers and laptops to heat up excessively when plugged in.....will cause fans, motors and inductive loads to humm when plugged in. It degrades such appliances quickly and shortens their service life more.

There are situations when an MSW may be preferable to a PSW signal....things like initial cost, run time, weight etc can determine which one is suitable for what.

Guy, u are overexaggerating the whole thing. it's not as terrible as u make it sound. Run away from modified? lol. i didnt run away and i have been using it and no iss. Go to youtube and see people using modified sine wave on deep freezers with no issue whatsoever. People, it's just like when people tell u that charging ur phone on generator will kill the battery. So long as the power is stable, we are goood to go. That does not mean that if u got the money, u should not go for pure sine wave. The psw in itself is not exactly like what we get from public power but it's very close to it. Last last, if na tv, or laptop, get ur 13k msw inverter and flex. nothing do u

But one funny thing be say some people are using Modified Sine wave but the manufacturers only write pure sine wave for the body... tongue

Na so one guy say him buy solar charge controller MPPT 20amp for 10k.

Can a Modified Sine Wave Inverter Damage Electronics??

You went shopping for a pure sine wave inverter for your camper so you could run your electronics while you are in the wild. You ran across a modified sine wave inverter at a great price, but you've heard that a modified sine wave inverter can potentially damage electronic devices, and you need to know the truth before you make your purchase.

There are only two types of electronics that you need to be concerned about when using a modified sine wave inverter: appliances that use AC motors and certain classes of delicate medical equipment.

If your electronics don’t fall into either of those two categories, then it's extremely unlikely that a modified sine wave inverter will do any damage. While a pure sine wave inverter is safe for use with a wider range of devices, the greater cost associated with pure sine wave inverters isn't always worth it.

How Modified Sine Wave Inverters and Pure Sine Wave Inverters Work:

Both pure and modified sine wave inverters take 12V DC from a battery and turn it into something that approximates the AC power normally available from the wall outlets in your home or business. AC stands for alternating current, which refers to the fact that AC power periodically changes direction. This can be visualized as a sine wave that gently rises and falls and swaps polarity instantly when it hits zero volts.

In pure sine wave inverters, the AC power produced by the inverter very closely matches an actual sine wave. In modified sine wave inverters, the polarity abruptly switches from positive to negative. The simplest inverters produce a square wave, where the polarity is flipped back and forth, while other modified sine wave inverters create a series of steps that more closely approximate an actual sine wave.

Since producing a modified sine wave is a much simpler process than creating a pure sine wave, modified sine wave inverters are typically much less expensive. The trade-off is that some electronics just don't work correctly or may even be damaged if they aren't powered by a pure sine wave.

Devices That Might Be Damaged by a Modified Sine Wave Inverter
While you’re probably fine using an inexpensively modified sine wave inverter in your camper, there are a few different things that you don’t want to run off a modified sine wave. Anything that uses an AC motor isn’t going to work to full capacity on a modified sine wave. Appliances like refrigerators, microwaves, and compressors that use AC motors won’t run as efficiently on a modified sine wave as they would on a pure sine wave.

In some cases, running an AC motor on a modified sine wave may lead to a buildup of excess waste heat that could damage the equipment. You’re probably OK to use these devices with a modified sine wave inverter, but you do so at your own risk.

The other main thing to be concerned about with modified sine wave inverters is delicate medical equipment. For instance, if you use a CPAP to help correct apneas when you’re asleep, you’re going to be better off with a pure sine wave inverter. Some CPAP manufacturers warn that you can damage your machine with a modified sine wave inverter, and others specify that the CPAP will work but the humidifier unit could be damaged.

Other types of medical equipment, such as oxygen concentrators, also need a pure sine wave. In these types of cases, you’re better off using pure sine wave power or looking for a unit that can be powered by DC without the need for an inverter at all if it's available.

Some devices suffer from unwanted interference from a modified sine wave inverter. You can power a radio with a modified sine wave inverter, but it may pick up interference from the modified sine wave, which could make it difficult to listen to.

No mind them grin

Well every one with his own opinion..

But one funny thing be say some people are using Modified Sine wave but the manufacturers only write pure sine wave for the body... tongue

Na so one guy say him buy solar charge controller MPPT 20amp for 10k.

True talk. It's like Bob Marley puts it... "you think you're in heaven but you're living in hell". Moreover, one can only know if you have the right equipments to test. But that ur guy sef. 20amp mppt at 10? tongue

What's the amps rating of the in-built charger?

It doesn't matter if it is fairly used. So long as it indicates 12.5, you are good to go
Thanks very much
