The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), is a federal university of technology located in Bauchi, northern Nigeria. The university is named after the first Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.
The motto of the university is DOCTRINA MATER ARTIUM, which literally means "Education is the mother of the practical arts". The university is known for having one of the best Engineering programme in Nigeria.

The truth is that they are not creating any job for the unemployed. Even a fresh PhD holder does not qualify for ANY of the positions. Just check the positions: reader, professor, lecturer I, lecturer II, etc, no graduate assistant, no assistant lecturer. The implication is that it is those lecturers already employed in other universities that will end up taking the appointments. Some lecturers in Nigeria have up to 3 full-time appointments, while the young Masters or even PhD degree holders will not even be allowed apply. A lecturer in the university where I did my Masters programme was found out holding two found out holding two full-time federal appointments. This was exposed because he stepped on the toes of an unforgiving colleague who vowed to deal with him. Only God's kingdom can help us.

My bro i schooled there for 6 years, I was there when that guy Mone (Benue boy) won SUG election in year 2000 and a muslim boy on seeing that Mone was winning carried the ballot box and broke it. The christain boys that reacted to him were expelled - 13 of them and even that muslim boy was not even suspended. Prof Sambo was VC then. I was living in block F hostel at the time.

Bro forget, they will only take a christian if there is no muslim or if it is becoming too obvious. So Jerry is dead? Serves him right - he failed many engineering students in engineering drawing out of shear wickedness. May he rest in pieces!
