They worshipped the Belzebub of mediocrity and corruption and called it Jesus Christ who could do no wrong and could not be questioned or called out on anything.
When you told them in the course of the campaign that
Buhari would never enjoy the sort of blind, unpatriotic and irresponsible followership with which they destroyed their corrupt mammon, they could not relate to it. That is why this culture of critique is so strange to them they are going gaga.
You have to be patient with them. They are damaged
psychologies we need to repair with the tool of civics.
Some of them , marionette and uncritical supporters of rot, even feel sufficiently enamoured to ask for explanations. Don't dismiss them angrily. When a child cannot tell weed from spinach, you hold weed in your left hand and spinach in your right hand and say, child, this is weed and this is spinach.
So, if an impertinent Jonathanian staggers to your Wall,
hold uncritical followership in your left hand and civics in your right hand and say to him or her: Child, this is uncritical followership and this is civics.

This piece is absolutely right. Jonathan supporters exhibited and still exhibit a weird form of irresponsible followership which is exactly what they used in deceiving the poor man. They never believed that GEJ could ever do anything wrong and some even went ahead to label him Jesus Christ.

Just within the first months of Buhari's leadership, the differences between a typical PMB supporter and a typical Jonathanian has already been exposed. A large number of Buhari supporters have already proven themselves to be sane and reasonable humans by even openly criticising some of PMB's actions since he took over less than 2 months ago. But this concept of sensible followership is absolutely strange to the Jonathanians; in fact, the tiny brains of a large number of them interprets this concept as "PMB supporters now regret voting for PMB."
