@moremuch1, from my experience alibaba.com is a great place to get cheap and quality products but this is determined by how well you can bargain for price.

Thanks alot for clearing me up, i was a Little bit confused which site to use between dhgate, alibaba, ipmart and the rest of them

Here is my response to your questions

Can I start importation business with 5k? Yes but this depend on the item you are investing on.

what kind of goods will 5k get me? Sometimes its not all about the capital but identifying your niche

Ask yourself and answer these few questions, it will help you

1. What can I sell easily (identify the product)
2. Who are my customers and
3. How do I reach out to them

will I still do custom clearance? You will not do custom clearance if you use 3rd party logistic company
