Pls, anybody who has recently imported a car should give me info on the %cost of import duty and other tariffs to be paid on new/used cars. Also is it advicable 2 buy a ckd vehicle to reduce cost. Thanks |

Ryders: I don't think people are shipping cars now, that line of business is slow because of unpredictable costs |

Ryders:hello, the federal govt wants to stop car importation because of th Innoson Motors in Nigeria. The import duty is 35% Inland revenue + 35% Customs charges. This equals 70% of the total cost of the car you purchase. If you buy a car of $2,000, be ready to pay additional $1,400 import charges. Goodluck. |

Ryders: Aside Innosin (IVM), there are other car manufacturers in Nigeria. I have seen pics of the Nissan plant. I heard of VW, but I am not sure of other manufacturers. |
