Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has inaugurated Transition Committees for the 31 Local Government Councils in the State. This follows the interim take over by the Heads of Service of each council after the dissolution of the former leadership of the councils by the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly. The newly constituted Local Government Caretaker Committees were today sworn-in at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo today, 14th July 2015.
