We need to constantly find ways to make life easier for ourselves as Nigerians, rather can complicating issues.

BVN registration can be made easy for old bank customers by simply requesting for their international passport number. I want to believe the BVN is to get our picture and finger prints, which already exists in the most secure document Nigeria issues her citizens.

If the CBN and NIS are both government agencies finger print data can be shared by these two top agencies. For instance a Nigerian in dispora can simply provide their passport number, which is a mandatory document for all Nigerians that have traveled abroad, if the system detects a mismatch i.e Name, Dob such can be required to do a BVN or further documentation.

Customers without an international passport can walkin to the banks and do their signup AND all new customers. With this the identity and BVN is even tied to the customer's travel document (international passport) and be traced when needed.

It is time we start to think and start making life easier for ourselves and still getting the work done!

Exactly what I've been saying since d inception of this BVN stuff.

I laughed wen I learnt CBN opened a centre for it on South Africa. I thought to myself "how abt USA, Canada, Germany, China, Japan, Malaysia, Norway.....etc. How many offices them wan open?
Usage of this international passport will be mch better.

#Godwin Emwfielel is a big joke.
