10 signs you are pregnant

Could you be pregnant? Most likely you do not start feeling symptoms of pregnancy until your menstrual cycle has been delayed. In fact, seven out of 10 women have symptoms even after 6 weeks of pregnancy.
If you do not score the dates of your menstrual cycle or if it varies widely from one month to the next, you may not be sure when to expect your next period. Below are 10 signs that you are pregnant

10. aversion to certain foods

If you recently got pregnant, it is normal that the smell of coffee or a sandwich of ham, and certain scents will cause nausea. Although not known for sure, this could be one of the side effects of the rapid rise in estrogen levels in your body. You may also notice that some foods you used to enjoy becomes repulsive.
9. Mood

It is normal to have mood swings during pregnancy. This is partly due to hormonal changes that happens to the body that affect the level of neurotransmitters (chemical messengers in the brain). Each person responds differently to these changes. There are moms who experience exaggerated emotions, some good and some not so. Others feel more depressed or anxious.

Note: If you feel sad or without encouragement or think you can not perform your daily responsibilities or think you can hurt yourself, seek professional help immediately.
8. Abdominal swelling

The hormonal changes that occur during early pregnancy may leave you feeling bloated, as sometimes happens just before the arrival of your period. For this reason, your clothes tighten around your waist very early in pregnancy even if your uterus is still very small.
7. Frequent urination

Shortly after you become pregnant you can spend the day running to the bathroom. What is this about? The main reason is that during pregnancy there is an increase in the amount of blood and other fluids circulating in your body, which means that your kidneys are working more and more fluid is accumulating in your bladder. You could start to feel the symptoms from week 6 of pregnancy.

Most likely, this feeling increases or intensifies as your pregnancy progresses. The amount of blood circulating through your body increases dramatically during your pregnancy. This causes the kidneys to process much extra fluid, which goes to the bladder. This problem is compounded as your baby grows, as it will put increasing pressure on the bladder.
6. Fatigue

Have you been so tired lately or rather, feel fully exhausted? Nobody knows for sure the reason for the typical early pregnancy fatigue, possible signs of pregnancy could be drowsiness due to rapid increase in levels of the hormone progesterone. Also, note that nausea and having to wake up frequently at night to urinate also contributes to your fatigue.
When you reach the second quarter, you will begin to feel more energetic although fatigue usually reappears in late pregnancy when you're carrying more weight and discomfort

5. Tenderness and swelling of the breasts

One of the first symptoms of pregnancy is swollen and tender breasts, caused by increased hormone levels. This tenderness or pain can be like an exaggerated version of what you feel before your period. From the first quarter this discomfort will decrease significantly, as your body adjusts to the hormonal changes.

4. Nausea

Some women begin to feel nauseous approximately one month after conception, approximately. But some women begin to feel the discomfort a little earlier. Typical nausea and vomiting during pregnancy can occur at any time of day: morning, afternoon or evening.
The good news is that nearly half of women who suffer from nausea stop having these symptoms at the start of the second quarter. For most other women, the nausea will take about another month to resolve.
3. Delayed menstruation

If your menstrual cycle is usually pretty regular and suddenly your period is late, you'll probably do a pregnancy test long before you start to have any of the above symptoms. But if your periods are not regular and you do not have the habit of noting the dates of your cycle, nausea, breast tenderness, and frequent trips to the bathroom may be the first signs that you are pregnant, even before you know of the delay in your period.

2. Your basal body temperature remains elevated

If you regularly write down your basal body temperature (your temperature when you wake up) and note that it remains high for 18 consecutive days, it's likely that you are pregnant.
And finally ...

1. The evidence: the positive results of your home pregnancy test

Whatever it says on the box, many home pregnancy tests fail to detect most pregnancies until about a week . So, if you decide to get tested prior to that date and the result is negative, it returns to give you the test a few days later.
Remember that a baby begins to develop before you realize you're pregnant, so it's crucial that you start taking care of your health while waiting for the result

Once the result is positive make an appointment with your doctor. Now check out the pregnancy section where you will find answers to all your questions. Congrats!
