Alright...

Its high time we diversify our economy.

Agriculture and Tourism can help.

Tourism with amputation & bomb going off in north, arm robbery and cultism south, with kidnapping now as rampant as pickpocketting in all the region.
Tourism wont fly now.

Someone has to tell the Cattle Rearer to diversify the economy. He should stop changing the meaning of APC, he should change Nigeria's dependence on a failing commodity.

Scrypt:
I believe this is a wake up call for a sane government to put in place necessary policies to encourage diversification of the economy. Renewable energy is a great start (Like the case of the guy using Biogas the other day that was on FP)

Also we could work on increasing our refinery capacity or building more refineries and if we have just enough to cater for our needs, we could start exporting fuel to neighboring countries like Benin, Togo etc.

Explore our enormous natural gas resources to consolidate power generation and in a cascading effect it will encourage local businesses while improving business interests from foreign governments to start manufacturing plants here. I mean we have enough natural resource to serve as raw feed.

If the Jonathan government had a modicum of foresight, they would have known that nothing lasts forever. A very wise man would have used the proceeds from the boom to work on every sector of the economy but oga instead was stealing billions to fund a dead on arrival political ambition.

May God help Nigeria.

BUT NO THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN! OUR POLITICIANS ARE OVERLY AVARICIOUS. Looking for every means to satisfy their gods which is their belly. Every bill they rush to pass into law is meant to whet their insatiable greed. But we are coming for them.

This is my opinion, bigots don't quote me.

so before 1999 nigeria was perfect abi, we had stable supply of electricity, functional roads, health facilities being perfect n the economy was second to none, naira was equals to pounds sterling, americans n europeans were queuing for our visa right?
hv u checked pix of lagos before 1999 when democracy was fully born n compare to now, is thr any difference?
was jonathan n pdp leading nigeria since 1960?
if u want to praise someone or curse someone be objective, dont just pick ur fone, log in to nairaland n start attacking someone.
crude price soar high for just one year, 2013-2014 season, n insurgency was at its peak during that period. try contest as a lg chairman lets see hw u will fare, stop daydreaming abt gej n pdp 16 yrs rot without mentioning atiku abubakar, obasanjo olusegun , el rufai, audu ogbeh, saraki, dankwambo, kwankwanso, etc.
or were they not part of pdp duri g this 16yrs reign?

OPEC is finished.

The problem is....EVERYONE is producing oil.

Even America that twenty years ago bought most of its oil from Saudi, Venezuela and Nigeria...is now almost self sufficient in oil production(They are even running out of space to store their domestically produced oil).

And China prefers heavy oil.

And did I tell you that Cuba,Benin, Zambia and Uganda struck oil in the last ten years?

OPEC can cut oil all it likes....all those non OPEC members will still be producing.

Nigeria must forget about oil...and go industrial.

Whoever is in charge of Nigeria now does not need a prophet to tell him to diversify.

But it ain't just Abuja....state governors too better wakey wakey.

Exactly.

The way we behave...it is like oil is going to be always above $100 per barrel.

It won't....not with everyone now producing oil.

And not now...when US is close to its dream of self-sufficiency in oil production.

Niger Delta, Nigeria as a whole must diversify.

I wish the price of crude oil can plunge further to about $10 per barrel, it will really help the politicians to grow some brains.

Do you have any unused items no matter the shape and state of the items?
You can sell that item for a good price. There's a platform I am going to tell you that will advertise your unused item, and in no time you will start receiving calls from interested buyers.
You would be wondering, what kind of unused item can u sell on that platform right?
Here's the crux of the matter. Statics have shown that there are some people out there who are desperately in need of that item of yours..
To get a deep insight on how and the place to sell those items of yours, please you may visit HERE

how much is sillicon valley generating for California or US in general abegiii angry

Unfathomable amount bro. Let's put aside the number of potentials (tech employees) activated by the gigantic multinationals, these leads to immense direct &indirect employments for the teeming populace. Plus that region boasts of the largest percentage of Billionaires in the world...that is like having 50+ of Dangote in Naija.

U can't tell me having d likes of IBM, Xerox, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Oracle, Amazon, Ebay etc in a country like Nigeria won't aid our economy.

South Korea hv almost valueless currency but d likes of Samsung, LG, Daewood, Kia, Hyundai, etc are consistently creating jobs, aiding d economies & leaving them with booming standard of living.

So believing oil to be the only source of wealth to a nation will be myopic o, abegiiiii.

U must be senseless. The fact that PDP governs Ekiti people doesn't mean they are not in PMB's support.
Whenever it comes to choosing leaders, Ekiti people are politically astute &not a sentimental calibre of humans like u.
So stop whinning & crapping like ignoramus on NL.
