The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin
Emefiele, on Tuesday hurriedly abandoned President
Muhammad Buhari in the United States following his open
admonishing of him on Monday.
A Presidency source told SaharaReporters that Mr. Emefiele
asked to see President Buhari and then requested to leave
for an “important” meeting in London. The President is said
to have granted the request.
On Monday, the president had warned his aides against
smuggling Nigerian businessmen into meetings during his
visit. Later that evening, he openly admonished the CBN
governor for smuggling the former Managing Director of
Zenith bank, Jim Ovia, into a dinner organized by the US
Chamber of Commerce.
Presidency sources said the CBN governor’s request to
leave Washington DC came as a surprise, as he had not
previously informed President Buhari of any other meeting
he had to attend, especially one that would deprive the
President of a prominent member of his delegation.
It is unclear as of the time of publishing this report if Mr.
Ovia, who was the beneficiary of Mr. Emefiele’s efforts, has
also left the US.
Also on Monday, President Buhari took advantage of the
meeting with his aides to order the opening of a desk at the
presidential villa in Abuja where Nigerians who wished to
see him could apply to do so. It is common knowledge that
in the preceding administration, wealthy Nigerians paid
millions to be allowed to see the President.

This C.B.N Governor is a man i like already.

He knows he is dead(relevantly) and so he left the US quickly, to go buy his own coffin(write his resignation letter) in Nigeria after doing a detour through London. A country can only have one President, and that President is not the C.B.N Governor, and if you can blatantly refuse a direct command from your BOSS, then its high time you hit the highway with your tail in between your legs.

How the mighty has fallen. If somebody had told me, a couple of months bank that JIM OVIA, will be a GATE KEEPER/CRASHER/CRASHEE. I would have said the person was probably drinking Koolaids from the same Cooler with INTROVERT or ONILA on Nairaland.

But this are strange times indeed.

It is only a President like Buhari, that will refuse to kowtow to the whims and caprices of the INFLUENTIAL thieves in Nigeria.

The message has been sent out, and the other INFLUENTIAL thieves are observing too, that this President does not welcome corrupt people, uninvited guests, and their types who are set on STEALING Nigeria into oblivion.

Mr. President, Nigerian's are solidly behind you.

This only happens when you allowed yourself to be absorbed by a friend, customer, parents, clients etc, such that it becomes an herculean task to say no. Even when the negative consequences are glaring.
