I have stay in kano for some years, 100persent of shoe shiners and almajiris are not indegines of kano but SOKOTO ,KATSINA and ZANFARA state and same peopls from this three state's you will see pushing barrow and oder uslss jobs in the nation, but 99.5persent of a real KANO indegin are biusness men, E.g Aliko Dangote,A.A Rano,S.K.Y, etc That is why the Slogan is called The Center of Commecrce, They have gonee too far interms of biusness, that is why all the northen part of the country live to kano for purchasing of goods, while the south south, south east go to the yoruba land lagos for their biusness.

Niger Delta oil money.

If only the Niger Deltan people will abhor corruption and develop their own land too. Nobody is stopping them anyways, but instead their so called Elder/militants are building schools in benin republic. Bayelsa gets so much allocation from the government, when u consider how small the whole state is compared to the amount of allocation, the state should be like Abu Dhabi by now, Alas! They will rather worsip people like Alamesiya and co.. And yet u come get to write Kano development as Niger Deltan money. Remove the clog if sentiments and tribalism from your eyes, and see clearly.

A lot of those mud juts can still be found in villages and remote part of the city. The north is such a beautiful region, May God restore peace in the land soon.

Yea...It is really such a beautiful region. I wish I could get a time machine and go to 1940 Kano...so beautiful and organized.

Good transformation, i guess we've all come a long way from 1940, while some sycophants would criticize, how many Nigerian villages were much different from what Kano look like, better still Kano looked a lot better/better planned than most south south and south east villages then.
