I wish this could make fp.
THESE PEOPLE SHOULD STOP MISQUOTING OR
PARAPHRASING WHAT BUHARI SAID OR DID NOT SAY
JUST TO MALIGN OR TO DRAW DECEITFUL AUDIENCES TO
THEIR SITES.
Pull a chair ,relax and read to understand and make up your
mind if indeed what they attributed to have said by PMB is
the truth or not.
Read to comprehend and to assimilate!

THE INTERVIEW
MODERATOR :- Last two questions and er briefly, Dr
Pauline Baker.
DR BAKER :Mr President, welcome and er I've been a
student of Nigeria for many years and first of all I want to
tell you that er, I have never seen such a hopeful attitude
toward Nigeria in the United States as since your election so
er, I think we all here, want you to succeed.
My question relates to another area of Nigeria that hasn't
got much attention during this trip and that is the Niger
Delta. Er, it's a challenge that you are going to face. I
wonder if you would tell us how you intend to approach it
with particular reference to the amnesty, bunkering and
inclusion... (correcting her words), inclusive development.
Thank you.
BUHARI TO MODERATOR (whispering) - She meant, er
inclusive government?
MODERATOR TO BUHARI (whispering back in agreement) -
Inclusive government...you know, empowering...including
women, youth, er ...
BUHARI TO MODERATOR : I see
BUHARI TO AUDIENCE : Er yes, erm I hope you have a copy
of the election results. Literally, constituencies for example,
that gave me 97 percent cannot in all honesty be treated, on
some issues, with constituencies that gave me 5percent.
I think this is a political reality. While certainly there will be
justice for everybody, everybody will get his constitutional
rights, but where the party and constituencies that by their
sheer work, they made sure that they got their people to
vote and to ensure that their votes count, they must feel that
the government has appreciated the effort they put in
putting the government in place. I think this is really fair in
delivering.
By the constitution, no state can be excluded from
government. So there is no way, even if I want to show
gratitude to those constituencies that heavily voted for me
against those that didn't even vote for me. They have the
protection of the government and I made an undertaking
that I belong to everybody and belong to nobody. If I come
clearly and show and marginalise a certain group because
they didn't vote for me, then I have already contradicted
myself and I am sure people would be too quick to pick that
against me.
