Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State has said despite the gloomy picture of poverty being painted by the opposition to those outside, the state is one of the best places to be in Nigeria. Aregbesola, who said this in a statement through his aide, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, added that the National Bureau of Statistics, ranked Osun State the highest in development index in 2012. The State, the governor further stated was ranked next to Niger State in terms of poverty reduction by the same agency.

The governor who was quoted to have said this at the 42nd Annual General Meeting of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria, held in Osogbo added that he was sure the participants at the AAAN meeting saw that the picture being allegedly painted by the opposition party in the state was wrong.

Story for d gods. Ur state was ranked second only to niger for decrease in poverty rate in 2012 and u decided to increase the poverty rate again. Sometimes I just feel like slapping d heck out of these theifing politrickians. Ur people r begging for food and u r here talking bull. Mtcheeew!

I read people posts/comment on this forum and smile at their stupidity when they call Aregbe names ha ha... A man that nobody even PDP has never acuse of stealing/corruption but all they keep saying is that he didn't cut his coat according to his size which therefore means he do too much work/project compare to the money he received as allocation and the money he earn as IGR.

Aregbesola had his plan on Osun initial allocation which was 4.5billion and osun IGR which he met at 2million but raize above 10m now.

Even if you as a person who is acustom to his or her salary of 80.000 every month face an unusual problem and the money droped to 40.000, tell me if there would be No crisis.
