Biblically, a proud man cannot walk with God. This is because God is always against the proud (those who are full of themselves). God opposes every of the proud man's steps. But He gives undeserved favor and gift (grace) to those who claim nothiness of their life (that's the humble men). Those who realise they can't help themselves. Such are the ones God walks with. James 4:6.

In absence of pride, youths be submissive to those who are older.
Humbleness will make God lift you up in His own good time. 1peter 5:5-6.

Never you direct any glory to yourself. Give God the praise for whatever glory you may receive from men. Any deviation from this, could be very dangerous to ones life. Remember the story of Herod in Act 12:20-23. And that of King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:29-37. It will be very terrible, if you allow God to humble you. He has the power to humble the proud.

Proud men are unfortunate. Instead of receiving assistance from God, God resists them. God bless u!
