(PA) X (PA) =(PA)^2 = PAPA like (3)^2 = (3)× (3)

Remember, there's no sign in between. If it was (P+A)^2 then that would be a different thing. (P+A) (P+A)

Lets Assume PA = MA = 100 Newton
: PA/MA = 100/100 = 1

Squaring both sides will still give you

(PA)² = (MA)² = 10000

Again, (PA)² / (MA)² = 10000/10000 = 1
