Britain has re-affirmed its resolve to help Nigeria in the fight against terrorism. The British Deputy Chief of Defence Staff on Military Strategy and Operations, Lieutenant General Gordon Messenger gave this assurance when he and other senior British military officers paid courtesy call on the Nigeria Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Gabriel Olonisakin at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.

Lt Gen Messenger stated that the essence of the visit of the senior British officials to Nigeria was to broaden the deep relationship and re-energise the bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Britain. He pointed out that they came to Nigeria for deliberations towards identifying the ideal area of collaboration to be adopted in the fight against insurgency and the best way to make it work. He stressed that the fight against terrorism is a multifaceted problem that demands strategy and careful exploration of grey areas in order to re-appraise the best support the British could offer.

In his remark, the Nigeria Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Olonisakin thanked the British officials for the visit and the determination of the Britain to assist Nigeria. The CDS acknowledge all the assistance the Nigerian Armed Forces had enjoyed from Britain, especially in term of training and retraining of our personnel for capacity building to crush the insurgents, Boko Haram.

Major General Olonisakin noted that the Nigerian Armed Forces is doing everything within its power to liquidate Boko Haram and its cells. This, the CDS said has received boost with the inauguration of new Multi-National Joint Task Force and the appointment of a Nigerian Commander. The MNJTF, he reiterated, is coordinating with the Nigerian Military command and control centre in the North East for effectiveness.

Present at the occasion were the British Assistant Chief of Defence Staff on Defence Engagement, Rear Admiral Simon Ancona, top officials of British Embassy in Abuja and a list of high ranking Nigerian military officers.

From the United States to the United Kingdom.

The most important countries in the World, are in a hurry to be seen with working with President Buhari. We can safely say that the reason why they all want, to be associated with this Government, is that the Government is headed by a man with INTEGRITY.

INTEGRITY is a word that has been lost in the Nigerian Political Lexicon a long time ago.

With the help of the US/British Military in combating Boko Haram, i can authoritatively say the end of Boko Haram is nothing but weeks away, as i don't see any hiding place again for them.

Have you people not noticed, that since Dasuki Sambo was arrested, the activities of Boko Haram has drastically reduced? so, we were right in our assertions, that Dasuki was part of the Sponsors of Boko Haram so that he can continue milking the Country.

The Nigeria Military is getting it right now.

Buhari is working.

Nigeria is working.

Destination $1 to 1 Naira soon.

[b]So far so good, the Nigerian Army with the MTNJF has done a lot in curbing insurgency.

They took the fight to them, recovered lost territories from BH. Freed lots of captives and dislodged them from their strong hold.

Right now the military is only clapping down re-surging effort to re-take territories. BH has lost grounds and has taken suicide bombing to stay relevant.

Right now
Am wondering if Nigeria needs this british collaboration now. Is this not a charade or last minute move to associate themselves with Nigeria success in curbing insurgency without western support?

Where was the British when we were strolling all the streets of the western powers begging for arms to buy with our own money?

Where was the British when we were almost at the Mercy of BH with our men, women and children plundered on daily basis?

Where was the British when our Army desired Technical and intelligence support.

These White Animals should stay away from Nigeria. They have nothing good to offer to Nigeria. They have hidden agenda in this country and I can bet that there coming will rather worsen our situation rather than add value.

God bless Nigeria. God Bless the Nigeria Army.
