Ex militants, numbering over 200 blocked the Olu Obasanjo road in Port Harcourt , in protest of alleged deduction of their N65,000 monthly allowance by their leaders. The protesting ex militants say a particular new generation bank connive with their leaders to short pay them. The protest at the moment is causing major traffic gridlock on the road and other adjourning ones. N65,000 monthly - that's sweet money for doing nothing apart from not causing trouble. I'm in the wrong job. |

Welfare is dangerous when misapplied. Paying a fit and healthy person free money makes them develop a sense of entitlement. Have you seen NW politicians' sense of entitlement when the talks is about the free allocation from revenues generated in the south? |

They are not paid 65k monthly. The news states that they are protesting the alleged deduction of 65k from there monthly allowance. That means that they earn more than 65k monthly for doing nothing |
