Most are chemicals after adding enough preser.... no wonder most of dem dey sick sha.

They don't have more sick people abroad than in Africa. Actually if there should anywhere with more sick people it should be Africa than in the West owing to their advancement to balanced nutrition and exercising. We love our food because that's what we were trained to eat not because it's better than theirs.

City like Toronto, Montreal has big Caribbean community
Talking from experience too. Canada is much bigger than Montreal or Toronto. Either way, this is not a Canada vs America thing. Thanks

In the later 80's find Nigeria food was difficult.

Yes in some areas but because NYC is the gateway, we get everything, even in the 80's.
Many people from other neighboring states used to come to NYC to buy their Nigerian food.

And you say it's barely windy. That city is probably the only city where you have to take in the wind factor into consideration as well as normal weather forecast. The fracking thing nearly made me loose control of my car one day. Good riddance to that fracking city though.

P.s you brought back memories though. Old world. Chinese people and their enterprise.

It's not that bad, last year was pretty decent, though to be honest, I don't exactly live in the city..

Buy beef fillet at any grocery store and suya spice at the african store

crush few maggi cubes and mix with oil. (add salt)
rub the oil on the meat
rub powdered pepper too
cover with plastic and rest in the fridge for about 30 min

Take the it out after 30 min and put on skewers and rub the suya spice on it
put it in the oven till it is done

there you go cool

The truth is that most of them can be found in abroad, but it is not the same.

Let us not argue it. I spoke with someone in north America last week, the guy confessed how he missed the original naija flavour in our food.

Of course, Pando yam, Semo, Suya, Asun, kilichii, Ofada rice, Beans of different varieties etc can be found in abroad.

16. Gala and Lacasera

Gala and Lacasera – there is always a romantic relationship between these two, they are made for each other. Most Nigerians love Gala and Lacasera especially when they are tired and stuck in traffic for hours.
Wrong....gala and lacasera? Lacasera no longer exist. Plastic coke, fanta, Pepsi etc took over long time ago.
