he is right. the wedding usually is very short, maximum 15-20 mins. only guys

its the guys that try to westernize it that you find them having dinner with the wife there and dancing, cake, white dress etc.

Stop calling hausa and fulani together... Its like calling yoruba, edo and itsekiri together...

But yoruba and itsekiri may be called together..

yeh. she and her lady friend have their own celebration.

you see in islam, it is encouraged to make expenses of the wedding to a minimum in order to encourage people to get married, along with other moral reasons, thats one of the reasons for the time frame.

we dont want a society where to commit fornication/adultery is cheaper than getting married.

And this is also done after the Wedding ceremony. The wedding ritual is normally done in the morning and no girl is allowed there, only male. The dinner party is usually done in the night (not compulsory) though,it depend on how fat your pocket is.

The girls have their own event also called 'kamu and yini' . It is strictly for the girls as you can not find guys there.

I think the main reason for this protocol is not allow girls mixed with boys.

Thank you very much, Im honoured.
Note: In Islam bride cant be presence during her wedding fatiha but however they may organise their ceremony separately (Without groom), the reason for that is to avoid coexistence.
Lastly our pic will be posted here shortly
