The article in question is the opinion of one of the wailers of from the South East named Steven Osuji, so why not indicate his name instead attributing it to the Nation Newspaper?

It is in the newspaper of course, but it is the opinion of the contributor, and should be credited with such. It is just like taking out all the hate messages always written by Fani Kayode and attribute to any newspaper. It is very wrong, and one can be sued for it.

Fani Kayode had written more than that and it was published! Publishing it doesn't make it the opinion of the newpaper, it is still the opinion of the writer who might be held responsible for any libel that maybe claimed. Reuben Abati in his column in the Guuradian Newspaper sometime ago, said Buhari was responsible for the Post election crisis in the northern States in 2011. What happened? Buhari sued him to court and not The Guardian Newspaper. Why not calm down and learn, instead of exhibiting your ignorance for all to see?

Lalasticlala this poster has a good point. It is incumbent on you guys as administrators of this site to separate facts from half truths. The opinion is indeed that of a contributor and is his personal opinion and not that of the editorial team of the medium.
