Part of my High School I did in the North, and I know in the village where I schooled, huts like this are usually cooler in the Afternoon and good for a good night sleep.

As an undergraduate, we were almost 10 in a room meant for 2.

Squatters were squatting squatters. We room mates had one thing in common, we all came from very poor backgrounds and will not let a simple thing like where to sleep stop us from going to school.

So what am I saying? Not all fingers are equal, and if this is what you can afford, then please manage it.

We called those huts channel O during my service days. They actually have huts like that within the BSU campus, I'm not sure if students that occupy those.

And for your information, some of the notable people you know studied in similar setting, including late Ms. Dora Akunyili, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former finance minister. There's a picture of young Ngozi reading with lantern in his mother's kitchen when she was in secondary school, you can look for the picture online.

Believe me, in that lonely hut you stand a better chance of doing better than any other student in your school "if only you can see it as opportunity to read".
