Its always safer to backup ur files, preferably in a pc. And one more thing, ensure u read comments on miui forum before u update. I believe d update is miui 7.1.3. I will advise u forget about d update and wait for future updates.

Gurus in the house, kindly assist me. I need a step by step guide on how to upgrade to miui 7.2. My phone came with 6.6 and can't upgrade through the OTA because it's not available, so I downloaded it manually. What do I do so as not to brick my phone or loose my files. Iam not using PC pls. Its better to backup your files. To upgrade, ensure you copy the downloaded rom to the internal storage of your device in a folder you should create called ‘downloaded_rom’. Then goto tools in your phone and select the 'updater app'. Click the ‘…’ icon at the top-right corner, select ‘Choose update package’, and choose the ROM file you’ve put in ‘downloaded_rom’. After choosing the right ROM file, your device will begin upgrading. Your device should automatically boot to the new version when the update is completed.

Yes, it depends on what you are backing up. But ensure u backup on a sd card.

Pls is it necessary to wipe all data in recovery mode before updating the 7.2.3 miui rom. My 6.2 rom came with pre-installed playstore I don't want to have issues before updating manually. Tnx.

I am on Chinese developer rom dated 21st April 16. When I plug in my Redmi Note 2 prime to my pc after flashing the rom, the phone doesn't show USB mass storage anymore. Pls I need help guys. All it does after plugging it in is charge.

Mine has never worked since I bought the phone can't even connect to my tape through USB to play music, it will just be searching without discovering it. I have tried all settings on the phone to no avail.

If you have pdanet installed in your computer, uninstall it, reboot and retry.

i use the phone but the game crashes at startup and reboots my phone. If it manages to play its ok.

Because of the battery of infinix hot note, it should be able to stand 6 hours usage if actually 4,000 mAh is the real capacity.

I am using xiaomi m2 and i am enjoying the phone especially the battery wich is 2200mah. It last long as if it is more than that.. Bt the prob is that of the font. Downloaded some fonts app on line bt it didnt work except i root the phone.. Pls if you v rooted urs kindly help me with the procedures.. Tanks

MIUI 8 Global beta rom was launched 2 days ago in new Delhi, India along with Xiaomi Mi Max. According to Xiaomi it will start rolling out to users starting from July 11 and the Global Stable rom is not coming till second week of August.
