Republican under the watch of George W. Bush(jr) almost ruin the economy of the united state of America, vast majority of their resources were spent on war with China and Japan overtaking them in the process. Unemployment were skyrocketing, crime were ricocheting, foreigners were under scrutiny because of the few jobs available, dollars were losing value in the world market. America had to borrow for the first time in history. Here comes OBAMA, Americans needed a CHANGE at that critical time. They needed HOPE, they needed someone that can motivate them back to its world STATUS. They voted for democrats with an economic vision infilled in their manifesto. Obama in is first address NEVER blame George W. Bush or Republican for the economic failure of America but rather stated that "we will accept responsibility as a government for our present economic challenges". Never in any outlines or statement did OBAMA ever blamed the past administration for the uphill task ahead of him, he either sees it as a responsibility for him to the people. Part of is manifesto was to stop the reliant of America on middle east oil in order to save the economy of the country, which he did through the discovery of shales in replacement of petrol. That, in other word pose a serious setback to Nigeria economy. That's the difference between an effective government with policies and a power-driven government with non. When will Nigerian government go to work? The change we crave for is similar to that of the Americans, even though majority are left with no options than to go with the lottery. While some Nigerians are highly expectant, others are pessimistic with a little loops of optimism on the candidacy of the change agent. However, the nomenclature have been written but the symbols are yet to be effective. Counter-allegations, probes on media, noise of arrest "Nigerians at the middle" while the manifesto are still hanging. When will our votes start plucking the hanged manifestos? When will Nigeria government learn to face critical issues than throwing tantrums?
Are we learning from our principal or composing a formal? If Obama had vested is time in blaming the past administration for the failure of america, what would have been the fate of americans today. A mechanic is hired to fix a problem or rather profers a solution and not to blame the driver for the cause of the problem, anything aside that is incompetence. When will our trusted mechanics get our car moving than blaming the driver?
